Why 8(a) matters

Every 8(a) solicitation on SAM.gov is restricted to program participants — you only compete against other 8(a) firms, not the Fortune 500. Agencies also use sole-source authority, which means no open competition at all.

What the program requires

To qualify you must be a small business, majority-owned and controlled by one or more socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and pass SBA certification. Once certified (usually 60-90 days), your firm is in the 8(a) pool for up to nine years.

How to turn 8(a) into revenue

The edge only works if you see 8(a) solicitations the day they post. A radar filtered to 8(a) set-asides and your NAICS codes delivers every eligible opportunity to your inbox before the competition reads it.
